Holiday Lodge Ownership FAQs

Can I visit my lodge at any time of the year?


Fingle Glen lodges is open 12 months of the year, meaning you are more than welcome to use your own holiday lodge at any time. Just pack the car and go!

How long can I stay for at one time?

You are free to come and go as little or as often as you like, whether it’s a week, two weeks or the duration of the summer holidays. There is no restriction on length of your stay – that’s one of the benefits of owning your own lodge! The only thing that must be adhered to is that your lodge can only be used as a second home, it is not to be used as your main dwelling. We do ask that if you are intending on staying for a longer duration, simply let us know so we are aware of your circumstances.

Do you get full access to use the golf course?

With every lodge purchase here at Fingle Glen Lodges, you get a year’s membership to the Fingle Glen Golf Course completely on the house! This extends to the immediate family members of the owner and can be used as much as you like through the year. Once the first year has lapsed, if you would like to continue your membership at the Golf Club, simply visit the membership team at the Fingle Glen Golf clubhouse who will be able to assist you with full membership pricing, terms, and renewals at the time.

Are the lodges dog friendly?

Our lodges are absolutely dog friendly. We encourage everyone to bring their pets. We know the decision to go on holiday and leave your beloved pooch behind can be a daunting one, which is why we absolutely encourage you to bring them along! Besides…why would you deprive them of a fun break away?! It is important to note that all dogs must be kept on a lead when out and about on the golf course, but we look forward to seeing you and your fur babies when you stay.

Can I rent out my lodge?

Yes, this is a fantastic way to earn a return on your investment when you aren’t using the lodge yourself. We can’t all be on holiday all year round, unfortunately, so when you aren’t why not make an extra income? We can help you with subletting your lodge, offering a fully managed letting service for a hassle free solution. Soon enough, your holidays will be paying for themselves. Can you get a mortgage on a holiday lodge?

You can’t get a traditional residential mortgage on a holiday lodge, because it isn’t primarily a residential property. However, there are a number of other avenues available to help you finance the purchase of your holiday lodge. Believe it or not, we are also very popular with golfers too!

Fingle Glen Lodges is only open for holiday lodge sales appointments, lodge owners, and of course holidaymakers and their guests. Fingle Glen golf course is open to the public and the Fingle Glen members. Anyone can dine in No. 19 restaurant in the Fingle Glen clubhouse, however please note during busy periods we do advise you to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
